With repeated tandems of Kobe and LeBron signatures engaging an equally torn and polarized fan base in a heated tug-of-war for prop-supremacy, it seems the blood has finally spilled over beyond the confines of each player’s respective sneaks. Ever the opportunists, Nikes decided to level the LeBron-leaning playing field somewhat by equipping each with a set of Air Forces to wield for their disposal (corresponding pairs should be fairly obvious).
With Uptown enthusasts recently coalescing around the collective sublimity of the Pearl collection, this matchup is almost certain to break the peace, causing rifts-within-rifts along more than just the already divisive laud/loathe mentality defining the respective Kobe/LeBron constituencies – among them being long raging debates over classic vs contemp colorways, leather vs synthetic, and the infamous hi vs low.
Its a pity KD and Blake couldn’t get in on the action, but with a week to go before the post-season tipoff, maybe its best that the bomb-dropping on this front is remains reserved for the more perennial heavyweights.
