My God, has it been that long? Commemorating the accomplishments of His Airness is no big task for those who were blessed to see him play in his prime, but to think that the First of Six was won a full twenty-three years ago could really make a guy feel old. To coincide with the aforementioned anniversary of the aforementioned accomplishment, Jordan is again dropping the greatest pair (IMHO) in the greatest colorway (IMHO) ever donned by the greatest player to ever play the game (NOT an opinion).
Originally issued back in 1991, then was re-issued once again in 2010 as part of the “Infrared Pack”, the Air Jordan VI returns in nearly unaltered form. In following with its name, this rendition of the AJVI is highly visible, with the irresistible combination of pristine white leather, red and translucent blue looking perfectly stunning for the streets. Improvements have been made under the hood, including an interior bootie for superior cushioning and slightly larger ventilation holes at the sides. Just in time for the NBA All-Star festivities, Nike/Jordan wants everyone to have a chance to take part in honoring one of the sports world’s most monumental of achievements, so these will also be available in smaller size runs for the ladies and kids.
