Nike Air Max2 CB 94 – White/Royal/Red…

5 January, 2012 | Charlotte, Sneakers

If there’s one thing I’ve been truly thankful for since we got our b-ball ball back, it’s getting to hear Sir Charles’ expertly slurred and mispronounced analyses every Thursday night. It seems like me and Nike are on the same page here. But a lockout shortened season means that players have a much shorter time to prove their worthiness for that weekend trip to Orlando, and the jumble could mean that we might see a lot of new faces in All-Star regalia this year.

Although traditionally a shoe known for it’s layered paneling and color blocking, the CB 94 has undergone quite the overhaul. Much in the same vein as last year’s heralded Vac-Tech line, this edition of the CB 94 features a molded, one-piece upper, with perforations to mimic the appearance of it’s paneled kin. Keeping in line with the ‘less is more’ mentality, Nike held back on the bold patterning, opting to relegate any use of color to purely accentual roles, further redefining the shoe’s philosophy. For a shoe that’s never really gotten a fair shot at a decent RWB colorway, this may finally be it’s day of reckoning. But the question still remains, what All Star worthy talent might play his way into a shoe contract, and will he show up in these?
