Laces Tight: A Sneaker Culture Talk is a reading of poems and discussion about sneaker culture by Converse Influencer Kurt Boone. After the reading of the poems there will be discussion about sneaker culture with the audience. Using poems "The Sneaker Game", "Baby Jordan", "Friends and Family", "The Hip Hop Effect" and "On Meeting The Bot" to get the discussion going, with a brief Q& A and book signing to follow.

Kurt Boone is a freelance journalist and street photographer. His writings of poetry and essays with his photography focuses, primarily on street cultures. From graffiti culture to skateboarding and all thing in between. He has produce over 20 artists books on street cultures. More recently Kurt Boone was the subject of a short documentary "NYC Speed Walking" and co-founded Aerosol Art Documentary Project with Bronx Historical Society Kurt Boone has also been influencer for Converse Footwear over 10 years.
